2. Consent and Your Choices
Where consent is required, we request a clear affirmative choice for the stated purpose. Browsing the website or accepting our Terms does not constitute consent to unrestricted data use or marketing.
You may decline optional information. If information is necessary for a requested service, declining it may prevent us from providing that particular service.
Before recording calls, accessing precise location or using identifiable data to train AI models, we provide a specific notice and obtain any required consent.
3. How We Share Information
We share relevant information with:
- Employers, buyers, sellers, dealers or other providers identified in the relevant application or enquiry process, to fulfil your request.
- Service providers supporting hosting, communications, payments, verification and customer support, subject to appropriate contractual privacy and security requirements.
- Authorities or other recipients where disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law.
One enquiry does not authorise unrestricted sharing with all present or future partners or unrelated marketing.
We identify information intended for public display before you publish a profile or listing. Avoid placing identity documents or unnecessary personal details in public fields.
Independent third-party services may have their own privacy policies. TruckMitr remains responsible for its own handling of your data.
4. Communications, Cookies and Permissions
We use your contact details for requested service communications. Promotional calls, SMS, WhatsApp, email and push notifications depend on your separate choices, and you may opt out at any time.
Essential cookies support functions such as login and security. Where we use optional analytics or advertising technologies, we obtain the relevant consent and provide a way to withdraw it.
You may also manage applicable device permissions through your device settings.
5. Retention, Security and Overseas Processing
We retain personal data only while lawfully needed for disclosed purposes or applicable legal requirements, including required transaction, security and complaint records. We erase or irreversibly anonymise information no longer lawfully needed and apply appropriate deletion requirements to our processors.
We maintain reasonable technical and organisational safeguards and handle security incidents and notifications as required by applicable law.
If information is processed outside India, we apply the safeguards, permissions and transfer restrictions required by applicable Indian law.
6. Your Rights and Withdrawal of Consent
Contact us using the details below to request access to your information and a summary of its use or sharing, correction, updating, deletion, account closure or withdrawal of consent, subject to applicable law.
Provide your registered mobile number or email and describe your request. We may seek proportionate identity verification.
Withdrawal must be comparably easy to giving consent. We will stop the affected processing and require relevant processors to stop within a reasonable time, unless continued processing is legally permitted or required. Withdrawal may affect the particular service that needs the information.
When the relevant DPDP provisions apply, you may also nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our services are intended for individuals aged 18 years or above. If we discover unauthorised collection of a child’s personal data, we will restrict its processing and delete it unless retention is legally required.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this Policy and publish the revised date. Material changes will be notified appropriately. New processing purposes will require fresh notice and consent where applicable.
